I need help to convince my mom that WTS is a big lie

hi everyone i'm new to this site and am just looking for some help as to the best way to go about talking to my mother about wts.. i've told her about the hypocrisies of the watchtower and cited some examples where they were wrong including about their association with the.

united nations....but she just yells thats a lie that's a lie..(in spanish)...lol .

she is very dissapointed in me for leaving and says that the only day she will be happy is when i come back to the "truth"..but i'm convinced.

Greetings and welcome 6169. It would be nice it we could tie our family mebers to a chair and hit them over the head with a frying pan, wouldn't it, but it doesn't work that way.

Give them time and be patient. Often times by being 'pushy' you will deveolp a further gap in your relationship. As suggested, when you find an opening, be tactful and loving, this will work to your advantage. Remember also, if your mom doesn't want to change, she's not going to change.

Your also in the best position to know how your mother's reacts to certain situations. Give her and yourself time.

u.s. sen. bill nelson said monday the bush administration last year told him and other senators that iraq not only had weapons of mass destruction, but they had the means to deliver them to east coast cities.

nelson, d-tallahassee, said about 75 senators got that news during a classified briefing before last october's congressional vote authorizing the use of force to remove saddam hussein from power.

how's the weekend been treating you?

here on the eastern seaboard of oz we've had some really hot weather - at least the suddenness of the hot spell made it seem all the hotter!.

another thing we saw this week was the rural roads around bethel chocked once again with tourist coaches full of bethel visitors who were taking advantage of the "privilege" of visiting the australia branch after the international convention was over.

Was Being A Jehovah's Witnesses A Bad Investment For You?

you could look at being a jw in a negative or somewhat positive way.

by that, i mean, for example---some say that had they not been witnesses, they are sure they'd be in jail today.

others might say, their whole lives were robbed of fun and money---simply because they filled their times as preachers and meeting attenders.

I guess it all depends on which 'nut' house you prefer living in. Aside from that, an 'investment' you ask? How else would you gotten to know so many people on this forum? Do other religions have such a set-up? If so, name them.

Hawaiian Convention

jw's are holding an internation convention in hawaii this weekend with over 12,000 delegates from several countries in attendance.

Time magazine had two articles dealing with Indian casinos and who's profiting from them. Why not check the back issues of Time magazine on the internet. The government gave a non-native women a native status so she could open a casino.

About treaties, how can Indians take advantage of treaties when the US doesn't honor them?

About Saddam, if he had chemical weapons, why didn't he use them? He knew such weapons would do severe damage. The US government knew by the experience of the Spaniards that disease kills. Because the Native people were in the majority, and to steal their land what better way to rid the Indians than by diseases.
